BOOK A LESSON
I teach from Monday to Saturday near to Lonlay-l’Abbaye. I offer lessons in London and Paris on a less frequent basis, usually by invitation and in conjunction with my visits for workshops or seminars.
I teach my students in one-to-one individual lessons. This is traditional in the Alexander Technique, as the lessons are highly individualised and not drawn from a ‘method’, based though they are on very precise principles and practices. The same is true for singing lessons and for MDH Breathing Coordination lessons.
I also offer ‘intensives’ for individual singers and for small groups of more experienced Alexander Technique students. I highly recommend this approach. Students come to spend a few days in Normandy and take four or five lessons within a week. It generates progress in a way that more widely-spaced learning cannot quite do. Voice students on intensives are also encouraged to sit in on other lessons as silent observers, by prior arrangement through me. Much can be learned this way.
I offer introductory group classes and workshops for all sorts of interested groups, as well as CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshops for a range of professionals including fellow teachers of the Alexander Technique. I am happy to create a group-learning event to fit your requirements: please get in touch to know more.
I also appear as a resident teacher or speaker at courses and retreats in France and abroad, where I am happy to combine group and individual teaching with performing and masterclasses. Past clients include the Eton Choral Courses, the British American Drama Academy and ‘Massat-Musique-Montagne’.
